In Rode Reason
In Rode Reason is an allegorical poem inspired by C.S. Lewis that explores truth, deception, and intellectual awakening. Through the image of Reason rescuing a prisoner from darkness, it reflects on how clear thinking exposes the lies of the spirit of the age and leads to freedom.
The Escalator
The Escalator is an allegorical poem about the human condition. A man descends a dark escalator toward the promises of pleasure, unaware of his own sickness until a revealing light exposes the truth. Confronted with his need for a cure he cannot provide himself, he accepts the help of the Light and finds his path reversed—from descent toward restoration.
The Trousered Ape
The Trousered Ape warns that when virtue and higher meaning are stripped away, man does not become freer—he regresses. Dressed in civilization but ruled by appetite, he is reduced to instinct. Without moral grounding, he is merely an ape in trousers.
